CPU (5-15%), paging (0-100/sec), disk I/O (virtually 0), network I/O (60 KB/sec) were all relatively low, much lower than the database activities routinely run on this machine without error. In each of the cases I worked on I chaged the setting from IRRT to ATA and the problem was eliminated. Some PC's randomly reboot due to this error. I rolled back the RAID driver from the latest 6.1 version to the 5.5 version in place during much of the stable period.
