There are three reasons why you getting this problem whatever your condition it is and those reasons are - Boot volume corrupted Corrupted files of your windows HDD got faulty Below Just keeps going back to that damn blue screen. When i tried to manually download service pack 3, I couldn't because I need Internet Explorer 7.0, which I can't get because I don't have SP 2. let the CD load Slax Linux environment.
Paul Did not work first time, but after two tries took PC apart, wiggled all conections etc, then tried procedure again (with /r) and then it worked! Then it takes me to the Welcome Screen (be patient!) and then I followed the exact directions as above, and it worked fine. Choose "Command prompt".
