So if you use VS 2012, you will need to install the redistributables which contain the msvcp110.dll. So if you compile the plugin with this version, everything should work fine. This took me a whole day and a half to get working.So just make sure it's installing in your default directory, i had mine on F:\ and it refused to load.ITs On OSX or Linux, run system("printenv"). I've tried the same steps in Maya 2012 and I don't have any issues.
