Starting Httpd Httpd Could Not Open Configuration File /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf Permission Denied
Please help me out. But what I'm asking is why can apache write to the logs, even when owned by root with only user write permission, but it can't create them in the first place? It was all working fine in Tiger but with Leopard, Apache got upgraded to 2.2 and now it gives me this error. How? navigate here

Is the /etc/ version the one that is built in, as indicated by faff's comment below? The functions getmyuid() and getmygid() return the correct user and group IDs (Edit: This is wrong see below).
